Founded as the village of Lancaster in 1856, the city was renamed to Lincoln in 1869 in honor of the sixteen American President- Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln is the capital of the State of Nebraska. Situated on Interstate-80 in the southeast part of Nebraska, this state capital exudes a small-town charm and big city style and modernity.
